Kick Ass Greyfriars (Adults Only) Hostel Edinburgh

The location of this hostel was perfect for a solo traveler like me. It was right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of everything. I loved being able to easily explore the nightlife as it was close to all the bars I wanted to go to. The staff were friendly and down to earth, providing a great service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with modern unisex ablutions and laundry facilities.

The showers were a bit of a hassle since you had to constantly press a button to keep them on.

As women travelling alone, we felt safe and secure. The location was excellent, staff friendly, and prices affordable for students.

Felt well looked after, nothing to complain about.

This hotel was a great find for me! I loved how the location was in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around and visit different attractions. The cleanliness was excellent, with staff members regularly cleaning the bathrooms and common areas. The hotel facilities were great, with a bar downstairs and individual lights and power sockets near each bed in the crowded room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

For us it was ideal.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Staying here was great as it's located right in the heart of the city next to many bars. The service provided was fantastic, including tour/ticket assistance and great room amenities like the heating, terrace and garden furniture. The dining area was pretty nice and the staff here was very friendly. They even admitted my reservation was made after I checked in on the bed and apologised for the confusion.

I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good stay in the city.

Clean and comfortable rooms with a nice view. Friendly and helpful staff that are always ready to assist. Great location with plenty of food options nearby. Good quality food available with prompt service. Wide range of facilities including lockers and activities.

The room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the nearby cemetery. The main floor bathroom was always clean and rarely crowded. The staff, particularly the Argentinian employees, were friendly and made us feel welcome. Plus, the bar staff, especially James, were generous with their drinks and allowed us to stay and enjoy ourselves. The location couldn't have been better, with plenty of pubs and eateries just a short walk away. And the dinner menu offered delicious food, just make sure to order before 9 pm.

The bathrooms on the upper floors tended to get dirtier and smellier at night, which wasn't pleasant. The shower had a button system that didn't allow for hot water adjustments, so prepare for a slightly chilly shower.

Superb central location, great facilities and friendly staff. I loved the trendy decor in the cafe and lounge areas. The rooms and bathrooms were immaculate, with hot and cold running water. Despite being in a busy part of the city, I slept peacefully and undisturbed. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in the area.
